I have 3 vises, a Renzetti, Peak and a Nor. I like all of them really well, but I like my Nor because it saves my shoulder some grief as I have a bad shoulder and I can spin the thread on and not have to wrap each wrap. Unless you have some specific reason for a Nor though the others are really great quality as are some others and I originally bought the Nor because I wanted so do dubbing easier of my flies. I have every jaw that Norm makes for the nor, but regular tying it's hard to beat a Peak or Renzetti as well as several of the Griffin vises like the Montana Mongoose. The Swiss vise is one of the most expensive, but I have never tied on one. YOu should go into a fly tying shop if you live near one and see what fees good to you.

Here is a vise study done a few years back that is still awesome...

My suggestion, get the best you can afford. I don't say that often but a good quality easy to work vise makes things so much easier.

I got the Terra rotating vise and I like it a lot but it is not the high end some look for. Tight joints and sometimes hard to make solid adjustments. For the price I think it is a great vice and it was the best
I could get but would upgrade if I could.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I got an Apex Anvil for my birthday and I love it. They are around $100.00 bucks I think. Built like a tank.
