The bottom one looks like medium palmer chenille. It's one of my favorite materials the last couple years. The small palmer chenille makes some killer buggers and collars.

That one is a pretty large chenille that is also UV. Where the cactus chenille large is 15mm this is 30mm. I have several colors of smaller of this same stuff as well. I know the paltered hackle chenille you are talking about, but this is different. I have some of the other stuff as well, but just have not used it yet.
