Default well I just took the pluge

I just returned from my local bass pro shop $385 poorer lol,

I made up my mind to try tyin some jigs

I know I could have got my supplies alittle cheaper online but its been eating at me for about a month to give it a go , so I bought a vise 115$ and tools, and stayed with 4 basic colors pink orange chart and yellow, and 385 dollars and I was out the door lol

as I said I know I could have saved alittle money shopping elsewhere but I'm one that when I make the jump I dont like to wait to long to get started so we will see if I have the skills to make a jig that will catch any fish

I took the plunge about 2 months ago to pour my own jigs and now have 5 jig molds and a 4 cup fluid bed with 9 colors of powder paint

all I can really say is you guys that have many years in pouring and tying must have alot of money invested in this fun hobby

please wish me luck I'm going to need alot of support from all

as always thank you all very much

You'll have a lot more than $385 worth of fun. Plus, you'll catch about $100 worth of fish

For your first one, not bad at all! You will find this hobby/addiction is great, but will make you pockets a lot lighter, LOL! You will find more interesting materials as you move along and the more and more, it's hard to not do this and I know for personal experience as I had bought way more than I could ever use and still am buying.

Welcome to this wonderful world of tying!

Welcome to this fun hobby. Take a camera with you when you fish your stuff you made for the first time. Have a buddy capture that smile that will be on your face when a crappie is caught on something you made. We all know that feeling well. I am still smiling everytime I catch one. I started out making teardrops and ice jigs, then I started tying my own jigs, and now I am making my own soft plastics. This is a fun hobby. Keep smiling.
