Nice tying, the jigs looks good to the eye and I'm sure the fish will like em. Sounds like you have jumped in and got a great start with pouring, painting and tying. Welcome to tying, it is a wonderful world where the only limit is your pocketbook. Have fun with it

Have fun is the best advice I can give. I only tie and paint about 30 days a year but have enough to tie daily for 3 years in materials. It is very rewarding to catch fish on your own ties and you will eventually never have to worry about having that exact color you want and can't find in stores. Not to mention the quality of the jigs, even as a beginner will be much higher than most things from a store.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

Great jigs I have been fishing all my life started tying trout flies several years ago made leadheads now thanks to all the guys on here to many to name and some local help it has been fun not only making them but catching fish on them.We have caught more and bigger crappie than ever before. We mainly caught crappie in the spring time. The last two years have caught them all year long.Never dreamed of making my own plastics.Love fishing a grub now make my own in colors that use to be good but can't find anymore(motor oil with red fleak) where can you get that color( gray ) cannot find anyone that makes this color.Your time is were the cost is how do you make enough for that.Keep it fun and a hobby not a job!!!!!

Nice looking jigs. I am the same way still when ordering and love it when my package of $200 worth of feathers, flash, tails and chinelle comes in. My wife doesn't see me for days while I try new combos. I looked at some of my first and thought now, that if I put them in the water, they would actually scare the fish away. I don't know if there's a tips page here but one would be nice. I have a few tips that I think would help as well as being interested in anything that would help me out. Hope you enjoy a great hobby that can take you in many directions. I'm currently looking into making saltwater jigs. Then maybe when I get better with a fly rod do some flies. One tip: look at fly tying books or web pages , a lot of ideas!
