Nice work for the first ones. Colors will catch fish too. When I started tying I used what I had the most of, and just worked on technique. I started with Maribou and tied some pretty dumb looking jigs, but the fish liked em enough and they decorated a brushpile just fine. Try some black, gray and white variations on a minnow head, they boat a lot of fish for me. Keep it up, you'll do fine.
