Well I finally tied up a couple pin and bead jigs. These are made with Hematite to give them a little weight. I like the way the bead refelcts light and is shiny without any effort.

The double actually has some weight to it. These are actually tied up for summer run steelhead. I have a bunch of smaller beads to tie up jigs for pan fish and trout. The rondelle, flat type bead is 4mm x 9mm and the round is 8mm. I will be tying some small ones up with 4mm and 5mm rounds as well as 1mm x 4mm rondelles. At least it gives me something to do until fishing picks up around here.

Any thoughts to improve them? It is really hard to tie a nice fact chenille against the bead so it looks like it had a neck reduction. Thinking maybe some red thread for a gill look?
