    Default Tying weedless jigs

I use alot of weedless jigs and usually just use plastics because that darn little weedguard makes it a pain in the butt to tie a jig. sometimes I will tie a regular jig and then take a small drill bit and bore a hole for the weedguard and glue it in. I saw a picture in a magazine the other day of a weedless jig the picture had no caption but I think I saw what they were doing. take a small piece of rubber tubing fit over the weedguard push it down to the head and then fit tubing over weedguard AND hook eye. I have not tried tying one yet but it looks promising. this is airline tubing that came with an aquarium pump.

Pichers aint the best, hope you can see what I'm talkin about

If you check over at Tackle underground. com, there's a thread about pins for your mold - his name is Cadman and he use's them when he pours, then powder paints with them in then pulls out. You can tie your jigs up then glue the weed guard in. Base Pins - TackleUnderground.com

    Jatj,
That's some innovation right there. Way to follow up a pic with ingenuity.
    And great assist FM.
Let's see that fluid bed in action!
