Nicely done !! should put some Crappies in the boat. Keep up the good work and remember practice makes perfect. The more you do the better you get.

Those are not too bad for your first ties. In my opinion the tail is too long on some of them but that is a personal preference. I would think you want the tail to undulate but not so long as the short strikers get no metal in their mouth.

Lots of jigs at wally world is junk too. I really love the Roadrunners and have used them since the mid 1970's in 1/32 Oz. I don't know of anyone other than my self that can buy unpainted heads from Blakemore. Even if I just use a willow blade or any blade that doesn't have their imprint on them I have to put their trademark sticker on the package. It took me 2 years and some help from a friend to get them so I could tie my own. You can make pony heads for your self with the molds, but selling them is really a huge risk as they can take you to court and have done that before.
Enjoy your jigs and catching fish on your ties is a big winner.
My Glow jigs too me intense phone work and experimenting for months about 5 1/2 years ago. I don't sell all that many of them, but they do work and are brighter than any I have seen any place else. The are a bit of a process to make though so not a fast tie like regular jigs.
Any questions that come up just ask and someone will help.

X2 on the pony heads the 1/32 oz here where we live once they are gone thats it in any color have a friend he fishes red head white body roadrunners on the waters in our area and he cooks fish every tuesday for his friends roadrunners are still that good. In order to get the colors you want you have to make your own.The 1/48 oz we catch a lot of big bream on that size every spring I don't know anyone who makes that size other than us putting swivels is a chore on these. The roadrunners,Price and size and color is what got us to tying our own jigs.Have an Anvil vise it has done the job so far maybe someday I can afford a Griffin. Here in our area if you don't fish for Bass, trout and catfish you are out as far as fishing baits and equipment(rods and reels). Thanks for the advice.I am more of an lurker than anything else.We all learned from somebody.

I have the collared/barb assorted Pony Mold (Old Style - with no warming chamber on the bottom) and you can use just about any size hook you want in it.
The combo 1/32 and 1/16 horsehead mold is a real PITA!!! (If I had know it was double sided I never would have bought it!!!!) I can pour up to a #2 in the 1/16th oz head - but when you use larger hooks you can only pour one side of the mold at a time. I'll post a pic of the inside later tonight to show you what I mean.
I contacted them about adding pictures of the insides of the molds to the web site and catalouge - and haven't received an answer back, been months.
Another one I asked them about is making the horse head in a production mold - with a larger oval shape eyelet slot where it's now a round circle, and no warming chamber on the bottom. In liue of that I'd like one with two each of the 1/48th, 1/16th and 1/32nd larger oval eye slot and no warming chamber, again allowing you to use any hook you want.
If they would listen to their customers - they'd make a whole lot more money than they do.
As Skip said you can't sell them - but you can trade them to others for materials or jig heads you don't pour yourself. And yeah I love being able to paint them any color I want and use any blade I want.
