    Default Downrigger Weights

Are downrigger weights soft pure lead? I plan on pouring small jigs mostly. These are very old and unpainted.

Don't think he's looking to buy them, he want to use them to make jig heads.

Most wheel weights have( babbet) may not spell right) in them.We use a( hot pot) to melt lead take and old spoon(make sure your wife knows) and skim the top of residue. We use old bread pans and pour into these for later use!!!! Old duck decoy weights work well also!!!! Hope this helps!!!

Use caution on the downrigger weights as they may have some kind of steel added when poured. It should be good soft lead to pour your 1/32 jigs. I don't use wheel weights in any of my jigs so I have very little knowledge of that lead. Good luck with your pouring and be safe.
