Yes I tie it flat to the sides and it's normal size Flashabou.

That is a good color and actually have it two ways and this one is a new one for me. I have some that I have used for years that is very close to this, but it's got more black than this one.

Skip a Question in the black light it looks like the Flo. Yellow turns to a Chartreuse. Does it or is it my old eyes playing tricks on me or the way I have the computer color settings????

I will have to vote for the black head with the big yellow eyes myself. They turned out super. Nicely Done!!!!

Yes FL Yellow looks green under the black light, but you know FL Yellow is the Yellow Chartreuse right? Now some of my Chartreuse is closer to Fl Yellow than most especially in my marabou as I special ordered it that way and it's still FL Chart, but not as green as most. I have some green too, but I have a bunch of the in-between one which is my favorite. You should see it in the water. Some of the guys in here got some from me when I ordered it because I had to get 2 pounds to do a special order and already had over 1/2 pounds before I got it. Most everyone of them said they liked it better too after seeing it in person. If you place it next to FL Yellow you can clearly see the difference, but by it's self in a Pic it's hard to tell.

If you go back and look at the first pic from this order on the left you will see some real FL Yellow and the right side some of this FL Chart.

Skip I see what you mean. That is very nice. Guess I missed that one until I sat down and studied it a bit. It is fun how a shade this way or that can make a big difference. But then Attention to detail is what sometimes is what will make the difference between a good jig and a killer jig. One has to do a lot of study on the pictures that are posted and jig that you get in swaps to pick out what makes a jig great.

A month or so ago you pointed out that the body to my jigs were just a tad to long. I started to shorten up the bodies and the profile got better very quickly.I have been tying for a long time but have not tied true Crappie jigs all that long. With one suggestion I went from average to very good. Guess if I put in more practice I will get to be a expert tier. Just hope I don't get too old first.

Your welcome Redman and glad I was able to help some. I am sure your jigs will fill the cooler.

I got that shade of Chart the first time because they had changed the brand of die they were using which made it come put different than what they had been doing. I called them back about it to find out why this pound I bought was different and that is how I know what happened. It was just luck that I ordered at that time and to me and them it's more of a "true" Chartreuse than either the Green or Yellow version. At first they though I may be complaining, but I explained no, I love this shade and is why I later made a special order to get them to make it like that again because by that time they had got theirs to more of the green version. I fell very lucky to have been able to get this.

So that is why it looks so green when the black light is on.
