    Default Variations in marabou feathers

While working with marabou, I've noticed differences in the feather fibers. Some marabou feathers have super poofy, flowy barbs while others have barbs that are thinner and stiffer. I've seen both types of feathers come from the same package of strung marabou. Which do you prefer for making tails?

I've noticed the same thing . I like the poofy ones better . I think they make a better looking jig . I hope the fish don't see the difference...Thumbs Up

Straighter stiffer smaller ones for me. Will use any thing that will do the job. I am with Bob (Snake River). Just my personal preference.

Depends on what I'm doing with them. There's a lot you can do with a big poofy maribou feather. For the most part I look for the bigger ones and just align the tips for whatever length I'm working.
