I usually tie my bodies even with the point of the hook, like the bottom one, and after catching a few fish they end up kind of unraveling down the hook. Here is one that caught fish last night with an unused one of the same design.

I tie the beginning piece of chenille parallel with the hook shank going away from the head, so my first wrap is toward the jig head. After my first wrap up to the head I wrap with thread, then wrap chenille down away from the head, then wrap that with thread and wrap back to the head so that my thread ends up near the jig head. Then wrap the chenille back up to the head and secure it with thread only at the jig head. I know that's long winded but can someone figure out what I'm doing wrong? Am I making too many wraps with the chenille? I have been trying to secure the bottom end better without compromising the look of the body but they have still been slipping. Any advice?
