    I'm looking for a new one. Any ideas or good ones out there

    Okay. Thanks I'll check out barrows. The ceramic tip keeps falling out of the one I have causing my thread to break.

    Dr. Slicks makes good tools and I would sure look at them. I have used a lot of different brands of quite a few tools including bobbins. The Griffin is good too, but most of them can have the tip come out when the entire tube is not ceramic. I have glued some back it with pretty good success. I use crazy glue for that and if you do it well it should hole good enough. you just have to be careful not to get it in the wrong place like inside the tube.

    Rite makes a kind of high cost bobbin, the the entire tube is ceramic so nothing to come out plus you can set the tension on them. I have several of them as well. They are kind of high priced, but they are very good too.

    I'm using some that I bought from BPS that when held side by side with the griffin and I couldn't find any difference, except the price. It's about half of the griffin. About $8 and has a ceramic bead in each end.

    Crazyangler has ceramic tipped for $3.70 (I just ordered some).
