    Default Lesson learned.

Had to end up driving an hour to bass pro today to buy marabou. Been waiting way to long for my order which put me behind with three customers. I will never take orders again unless material is on hand... live and learn... Late night tying but orders are done.

Jason, I gotta tell you that one color jig head I got from you-Watermelon candy? candy apple green? I don't know what you call it, but I must have got 15 Bass on it the last couple days. Tipped it with a minnow/slip bobber/ drift weed line. Thanks

Yup, that's the one, I've been knocking the Bass out with it. Funny thing is, I'm drifting for Crappie.

Well you now have a small taste of what happened to me early this year. One night in the shower I feel this huge bump on my shoulder and go to the Doc. What is this? After X-Rays they wanted MRI and then sent me to the Bone Doc. In the mean time I was having great difficulty tying at all. They say you have a massive tear in your rotator cuff and is not new. Well I know that as it actually happened 18 years back and I just adapted, but it had never bothered me like this tying and I never had that big bump.

Well the big bump ended up being my collar bone being pushed up for inflammation or what ever. SO changed my meds a bit and the bone Doc ask me if I had tried lowering my vise, which I had not really. So got a friend that offered to help me and came over and made me a step down for my vise and it helped a great deal. Still have a shoulder that is for crud, but can tie okay.

Got behind 2 months at least, but I am use to behind behind something like 3 weeks as I have been for 3 1/2 years like that. Anyway it's hard to be behind and even harder when you couldn't have known it was coming and didn't tell them it was going to take forever, I exaggerated a bit there.

It is very hard on your head to be behind for sure.

    Skip,

I also know about those huge lumps and rotator cuff tears. Had surgery on my right and also left shoulders. The surgeon left very deep cuts in each one. I got to where I could not keep up with orders and eventually started tying for close friends and myself. I shut down my website a few years ago. Still have pains in both shoulders to this day. TENS Unit and arthritis pills help some but I Could no longer crank out 1500 jigs a month by myself.

Heck guys I tie for myself and a couple of guys. I am always behind myself. Seems like every time some one post a new color combo I have to tie up at least a dozen to put in my box. Just got thur casting 500 jigs have a hundred painted and eyed. Now its back to the vise to tie. Friday I have to get another jig box as all my others are full. Fall is just a few months away and want to have enough to last me until at least the end of the year. Any one else have this problem that doesn't tie commercial???? Maybe I am going a little crazy in my old age???
