I'm fixing to walk into Orvis in Houston .... I'm here for my India Visa and I'm broke... Feel like I need an intervention but all you guys are just as sick as me. Like a drunk going into a bar for help with a drinking problem.... Now what can I pawn?? I wonder what the security is like?? I wonder what the police response time is....... HELP!!!!

Just keep in mind while they have a lot of great stuff, most is kind of on the high side. Now I can't say much about their fly rods and reels and such, but their materials are high priced for sure.
They do have some great sales from time to time. As a matter of fact I bought a selection of flies they had on sale a few years back, but couldn't resist due to what a great price they had them on sale for.
So take a deep breath and enjoy the scenery and don't buy much, LOL!

You did good then as I know they have some really high end fly rods. I just wish there was more fly fishing around here, but if this lake fills up again by next spring I am going to do some fly fishing here for bass and crappie. After them the big blue gills should come in too.

You got off easy Toby. You can really hurt a credit card in there.
Skip, I picked up a couple of clouser minnows to copy for that same reason. One is big, like 3" and the other is about an inch with bead chain eyes. I get to tying I also need to look up one called crappie candy I've seen before. Now if I just had the time.
