Default How to add spinner to jig?

I have been tying crappie jigs for about 4 months now. I would like to know how to put one of the little spinners on the jig. Is there any online videos of how to do this and what I might need.

Start with a head that has a swivel cast into it. Pony or Horse head jigheads. Then you add a split ring and blade.

I think they maybe referring to some pics of the tail spins some members have posted recently. if that is the case get a swivel and put it on the hook, use needle nose to crimp the swivel around the hook, tie the swivel in, then just tie your jig as you normally would. when complete add the split ring and blade..

My friend that has the DVD for rope dub flies has been working on flies with a spinner blade on them. I will ask him how he's doing them. His intention was they would be for catching red fish, but I think it would work for jigs or flies and crappie too.

For a spinner behind the hook; you might do better tying a light piece of wire into the hook shank in a "u" shape. Should be able to get it tighter, put the swevil on the wire first and add the spinner later.

I usually don't stab at folks on this board but being in the PP mood I'm in I have to say Jonny, your reply to someone who's posted only 19 times and has stated that they've only been tying for a few months your answer really ******!!!!!!! This site has always been helpful to folks that want to learn, and your reply was IMO pretty snide. Next time consider thinking before you post.

karla sorry you received such a poor comment like that!!
