    Default Split ring pliers

Okay messing with some jigs today which I'm not supposed to be doing yet and the tip on my 20+ year old cheapy worth split ring pliers snapped. The el cheapo Eagle Claw split ring pliers are way too big for my rings except the big ones. I'm gettin older and I'm ready to buy some really good ones.

I like the looks of this one from Texas Tackle, they'll handle from 00 up to size 2, has anyone tried them???

I also looked at the Xuron's and kinda look like my lead gate cutters!!

I know all bout the butt rings, but I have a couple thousand split rings, and blade baits take heavy duty rings.

Give me some opinions good or bad

    Thanks

    Fatman,

I have the Texas Tackle pliers and they are good. I also have a pair of Leadmaster pliers in a smaller size than the Texas Tackle. I would highly recommend either pair.

I have some that look like the second one and I don't care for them much. I mean better then the elcheapo's, but I have 2 and don't use them. I am probably going to buy the high end ones they sell at Worth, but I don't even know how they work and are $35.

My favorite pair are some I got from Barlow's and I do like them and here is a link and the ones I like best are top right...

I have no clue about the Texas Tackle ones.

You can check out the ones at Worth, but they don't say enough about them except the instructions come with them, LOL!

If you have to mess with split rings the XURON are the best I Have used.
After using the good ol Worths you wil wonder why you had not tried these.
Butt rings are the way to go even with the biggest blades ... but if you have the
split rings hang in there ... Hey Follow the Doctors Orders !!!!!!

No problem Gator Bait. Actually, I thought of adding "I tried at a tattoo parlor, but they didn't have any I liked". But I managed to control myself. Great minds think alike!

P.S. I did find that Jann's ( or another supplier) has butt rings.
