Okay, I'm slow. Can someone explain how you're using the eye dropper and powder paint to do this? Sounds like it's gonna be a freakin' mess, but I've got some 2-tone head ideas that would be fun to try.

Yeah it's can be a bit messy so need a good catcher for the excess. You also need an eye dropper for each color you want to use or that is what I did, bought a box of them. I don't want to even try cleaning an eye dropper so all of mine still show color.

Just like normal for powder painting the head, but as soon as it comes out of the paint/fluid bed you have a small amount of the 2nd color ready in that eye dropper and just puff it easy, very easy and try to get an effect you like and then I pass it trough the flame I heat with for just a second or two and then hang it until I cure.

You may want to practice the puff one or two time first to see what happens.

Really as long as you have something behind where you puff it will catch the excess and it's not as bad as you may think and if you have something you can take and put back what is there you don't have to lose it.

I really don't know. And unless you've got powder hot so it would run it might just work. If we get time I will give it a try.

we were working with powder paint this morning a little bit on marbling you have to get the powder paint pretty hot and then and second color . You have to experiment spinning in adding I haven't got all the bugs worked out of it, but here is a picture of marbling done with powder paint.

The marabou jig I posted earlier in this post is with Powder. You have to drizzle it very lightly while the lead is hot for it to work right. Pretty much trial and error. Reheat after applied for a few seconds and you're good to go.

I think we're all on the same track it just the ideal of experimenting in the heat has a lot to do with it but it's very interesting. I hope that we can continue to work with this hope to see more pictures of some of your work and skips I believe they may even have different powers that may work little bit different. I know that for a fact that lots of different powders take different heats to put them on it is a base coat some it does not take very much. Heat but I think if we continue to work with the different stuff we will find out which ones are best for doing marbling work . I also mentioned to skip don't know if you guys have tried cut out over the jig head and dust to put a pattern we will have to mess with that one to.

Might have to start playing with the powder LOL I tried a few and they didn't come out as well as I wanted but it's fun to play with.

Quality salt or pepper shakers with small holes work well. Glass with metal lids seemed to work best for me because plastic would get staticy and clog up too often. Can't find really good ones with small enough holes though so I only have a tiny one I use for black, when I can find the darn thing. When I find the right ones again I will have them for every color. Easy to use and don't have to worry about changing colors.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
