It is common to use brass or nickel plated beads "pinned" to an aberdeen hook for steelhead jigs. The light weight allows for the current or checking your line to lift the offering in the water colomn. A 5/32" brass bead jig has a slower sink rate than a 1/64th oz. jig. I may have to tie a couple for fishing for SLABS!!
