A PM from Jig Man 2/24 as follows:
    Hello Nightprowler,
After reviewing what both suppliers have to offer and for what costs are involved, I vote to use Orbit Industries for the paint swap supplier. As far as selecting colors, you are never going to satisfy everybody. Maybe let everyone select one color and go from there.
    Thanks, Jeff

We need 2 more votes to be cast today, then we can move onto our color selections.

    Default Selection

Guys, It has been decided that we will be going foward with Orbittx as our supplier. I think everyone should pick 3 or 4 colors with the ones they want the most at the top of their list. Everyones top 2 colors will be included in the swap. If their are duplicate colors and we need to add another color, it will be the first guy to submit (after this post) his color selection #3 choice. If we need more, we will move down the list to the second person to submit their colors #3 choice and so on. I don't think clear should be a selection because as rad said, 4-oz of clear is not enough. I do think that if you want to purchase a pound or so of clear over and above the groups order, then just pay the additional cost of shipping of adding it to your paint. All list of color selection start now and need to be submitted by Monday 2/28. If you picked some colors earlier and want to stick with the same colors, just copy and paste the list again. I hope radtexas volenteers to pick the paint from the facory and divide it up evenly as possible amongst us. If I did the math correct, it cost $8.95 per pound and everyone will be getting 4 pounds at $35.80 + shipping (add the cost of any other paint you want and additional shipping). Everyone will end up with 4-oz. of 16 different colors.

    Estimated results ---->
$45 including shipping divided by 64-oz equaly about .71 cents per ounce or $2.82 per 4-oz package. I CALL THAT A BARGAIN....

Prowler,Im good with whatever the group wants.

The main thing I tried to point out with my earlier posts is that with the 5 primary colors and a little tinkering, you have almost any color in the world.

Just one thought I had was to possibly get 4 # of clear, that would give everyone 1/2 # and still have 12 colors to chose ,or 6 # would give 3/4 # and 10 other color choices,if my math is correct

and yes,I did offer to pick up and divide, and ship it back out.

One other thing as I mentioned we will need to include sales tax of 8.25 % since Im picking it up.

    3001 Signal Red
    7001 Silver Gray
    4006 Traffic Purple

    Some Question,
Radtexan, how or where can I get one of those color mixing charts?
RevToby, did you receive the powder paint I sent you from Ohio, in the zip-lok bags, for your church project? I was wondering if it survived the journey ok??

Hobby Lobby or any art store has the color charts.

I found this website where you can mix primary colors and change the ratios.
