And I mean started. I do not have a clue about how to tie a jig. I have been doing some reading and kind of got some of the basic tools I will need, but how do I use them is the real question. I guess my first question is do you guys know of a good DVD to get that I can watch. I have watch a few of the videos on here that you guys have posted but I need something I can hit the play, pause and back buttons on my tv with. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!

How far are you from Scott?
Really nice guy who is always helping people out. Best way to learn, IMO, is to spend a couple hours with someone and Scott ties some mean jigs. Might want to hollar at him.

Well I just sold my first DVD from Peak Vise and will watch it in a little while and tell you what I think. I ordered it for a guy buying a vise from me and I just have never seen this one yet.

sounds good Skip.
Micro, I am only about an hour from Scott. I will probably trade him some rez secrets for some stringing lessons.
I'd def. try if you want a step up in the learning process. I know how yall MS boys love them cranks but nothin' beats a limit on jigs that you've tied.
Shoot, I'll send you my tools, paints and feathers for a map of some of those COE 3 lb. honey holes yall got :D.

lol...I ain't got no 3 pound honey holes, maybe some 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 holes but ain't found none of them 3 holes yet.
Check out White River - Bass Pro’s DVD “Handcrafting Effective Jigs”.
Has some great tips from Lefty Kreh and Mike Huffman. Goes through most of the common patterns. I give it a 9.5 only because of some minor stuff lefty does that I don’t agree on. But he is the master and both theses guys know a ton more than I ever will.
Big bang for the buck – thid DVD won’t break the bank.
