    Default flutter jig?

Does anyone know how to make a jig that is tied on a 90 degree bend hook that will flutter on the fall? I have tried several methods but nothing I do produces the slow fall and flutter that I am loking for. Are commercial jigs available that will flutter? Is soldering small ice blades a possibility?

Being that their lead I don't think so, jigs reguire you to give them action. The only jig head I know of that kind of creates it's own action is the Flying Lure.

Course I wish they made a mold for the jig part.

The only flutter jigs I saw were used on Bonefish on the flats and had a triangular head and a lot of weight. You might look up bonefish jigs somewhere and get a few ideas. They were lead and would prob. fall faster than you want, but we're talking about ideas here.

have you tried the wobble head jig mold that cablea's has. may be to big for what you want but in a vertical jigging motion that thing has some serious side to side motion.

I tried using a punch and punching out some lead then glueing it to a 90 jig hook and it did not hardly want to flutter at all. SO i never went any further on trying to make a mold.
figured id be better off attaching a small colorado blade or oklahoma one to a jig.

Good price on the mold. I'd like to play with a few of the 1/16.
