    If you have a tax permit Wapsi Fly in Mountain Home Arkansas is good for about anything you want. Short's Hook Sales also in Arkansas is about as good as it gets for hooks generally speaking.

    Takes a lot more than a tax permit, you have to have a bricks and mortar store front selling fly tying materials or you can't buy from them. Beleve me I know they will not let any tyer buy from them even a commercial tyer like me.

    I have not done business in almost 2 decades . I used to be a very good customer with them . Things change I guess . They must have lost there flippin minds. Its a shame. Sorry for that misdirection folks.

    I have tried to buy from them in the past I did not have any luck. I even sent them references from other companies, but they did not pay it any mind. If you do not have a tax or a federal excise tax number, forget it. They won't even talk to you . You are exactly right. Skip on this one.
