    I am always asking the wrong question. What size reel are you using? Give the spool size.

    Reels are rated by the number of yards of a given weight of line. The one I am using now will hold 100 yards of 6 pound. You can look on the spool and see the different yardages of line for a given test poundage. I use a Pfluger Trion and the sizes of reels in that series are rated, Smallest 4/105, next bigger reel is 4/115, next bigger is 6/115 and so on. The reel I bought was used and the line sizes are not their but a 100 yard spool of 6 pound will almost fill the spool so I will assume that there are 2 models smaller than mine.
