Vinyl paint might be an option. I don't paint on alot of eyes but I use vinyl when I do and then clearcoat.

Model paint or artist paint work well. Must be seales though.
ive been using air brush paint to color heads alos lately. Why they have some bright colors not to mention more colors than anywhere ive seen!!!
like the above I use nothing but vinyl paint to paint eyes with you will have no problems with it.

I dip mine in 2 part epoxy from Do It. It is important to let eyes dry first. I put the background on first usually using red or chartreuse and let it dry for 24 hours. Then I add a dot of black for the pupil and let it dry for at least 24 hours. After dipping in epoxy, I let dry another 24-48 hrs. and then store until needed.
