Couple of half hitches and 3 or 4 whip finshes don't need glue.

I never use glues,tie a good not and it isn't needed.

I tie a 3 to 5 turn whip finish and use sally too. Overkill, I know. You should have seen what I built when I was a wood butcher(carpenter).
