Your jig looks good. The brush has took a few of my jigs lately also.

Lots are out fishing while they can, and lots of places have just started hunting season so their out trying to get one for the freezer. It'll pick back up in a few weeks.

Just been busy with life, kids, a "condition" and other life stuff. Will be back posting pics soon. Have some ideas I still have to knock out that have sat on the shelf too long.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I been really busy putting a new roof on the house. Now I am splitting winter wood. Plan on going out and trying to lose some jigs myself. In Texas and Louisiana it is the start of Deer season. Haven't even thought about that yet letting the amateurs have a go at it first. Hopefully will be able to give a report and post when I get some of them big slabs this week.

Nevermind on my inquiry . I found out.

    Redman,
Those deer can wait........unless you're sending me some back-strap!
And don't dog those amateurs, we lead by following the leaders @ ameteur time.
So, I'm all about a guided hunt, big dog. :D

    f4all,
Don't forget to relax. I have big ears if you ever need one to scream into. Send me a message and I'll tell you a bad joke that'll make you smile it's so bad.

    Fatman,
That's why I don't hunt. Too much compromise with the little time I have.
BUT, I'M WELCOMING BACK STRAP DELIVERIES!

    Scott "crankbait king"
Not nearly or even remotely close to enough to compensate for the jigs OR the $125 jig pole I lost! BUT there's very little I wouldn't have traded that day for. Mr. G might have a diff. opinion though:D. Ask him about driving backwards. Rough fishing day, good buddy time for me though.

    jsplinter,
I'm never situated anywhere for a long period of time.
Matter of fact...got an open bunk for work related rent?

    STUMPTER,
I don't like that jig at'tall. The body looks uneven from me trying to plumpen it up too much and got careless with the wraps. The paint splash on the backhead that I tried to duplicate from hunter7711 is just all wrong. BUT i promise you that jig, for nothing else than the color combo, will flatten a stacked up cloud of sacalait in short time periods.
Also, that saying about if you're not getting hung up, you're not catching fish...
they forget to addend the stiiiiiill not catching fish exception.

    ThX all for the replies,
    Adam

Well, since Adam brought it up. When we were driving to the ramp Adam made the comment about ever hearing banjos playing. That's how far back in the swamp we were. Well, coming out I made a right turn instead of a left and ended up deadending myself. Had to back the boat a half a mile before I could turn around. Now to his lost rod. You can tell the boy never rides in anything that goes over 3 mile a hour. We were making about a five mile run when he leans over and asks me where my rods are. I told him they were in the rod boxes. He then told me his $125. jig pole had blown out. It's really kinda odd since it was right next to his hand. I offered him a loaner till he could get one, but he refused the offer. We couldn't get bit for nothin. Bad thing is we met crimsonsnipper on the water and he was catching fish on my jigs. I guess that tells you what kinda fishermen we are.... Enjoyable morning with Adam even though we didn't cath anything.
