    Default deep water jig


    getting ready to tye some jigs for wintertime crappie when they move to 20-30 fow. would glow pp help, if so what color glow pp with body and tail color combo do you think would work in clear water? Thanks for any help.

    Well since blue this the last color that would show down 40' in crystal clear water I would guess blue or violet will show deeper than others.

    Is that as deep as they go where you are? Here in the winter they get in the river and they are down about 40'. That is why from Dec. through Feb. here (on Toledo Bend) you can't trow any back, so you keep all you catch up to your limit of 50 each.

    about the two rivers in lake seminole average about 30 to 35 feet, and the crappie are on the bottom, in the past I have only been able to catch them on minnors, but wanting to tye some jigs with glow heads if that would help the crappie see the jigs. but dont know what color of pp to order, or what color of jig body to put with the pp head.
