What I would go to if Lead is gone for personal use

I'd probably buy some if lead was banned. Probably use tin with a lot of jigs. I feel the same as hunter7711,but would have to see how high the fines would be and/or possible jail time. We could dispose of all our lead by selling and sending it to China. They aren't going to stop making jigs with lead just because we do. I can see it now,me sitting in jail sitting with murderes and rapists everywhere and someone asked me what I did to end up in here. I went fishing and used leadhead jigs !!! Figure I'd be safe because I must be crazy.

You know guys this is not about just banning lead, it's about tree huggers and wackos that want us to stop fishing and hunting. They don't want us using feathers from birds that were killed it's about our personal freedoms. It's about the liberal agenda that wants to control us from every angle and wants us to make the money and give it to people that don't work or maybe any.

From another guy...These folks(PETA) don't care one iota about lead. Their whole agenda is to eliminate sport hunting and fishing. This is just one of their' backdoor' tactics to that end, and I'm not just going to willynilly aid and abet these people.

This is just the start and think of it like a wedge, once you get that edge in and hammer the heck out of the big end pretty soon the wedge makes it's way all the way in????

Not all solder has lead in it, I have lead free solder I use for tying in my tying gear and I love it. I can tie under anything without coating it and it makes a bigger jig really heavy if I want it to be.

The day they ban hunting and fishing I will organize an open season on Tree huggers, I wonder what they taste like, most likely not chicken! LMAO. Protecting the envirnoment is fine with me when done on fact and real research; but using fear to get an agenda passed will always put a crick in my line.

One good thing though is it looks like the Republicans will be in control in 4 months so any ban will have to wait til they lose power again.

Crappie fishing. I guess I did not know that David. Time to experiment with other items however I do like my soldered jigheads and lures. I just checked and yes there is lead free solder. I am getting some tomorrow. Personally I believe PETA and in many cases ACLU are way out in left field with their philosophies. I will vote anyone out of office who impedes my right to the persuit of happiness.....I.e. Fishing!
