I know this, I will be making some really good friends out of local machinists and CNC operators just in case.

Bismuth by it self will be to brittle and easily broken.I know some are saying pure tin.Ive talked with some metal guys and Im being told the closest to our lead will be a 40/10/50 40 tin,10 zinc,50 bismuth. The best price Ive found so far is 13.00/per lb if you buy 250 lbs less than 250 and it is 15.00/pound.Even with this rate mixture Im told it will be around a 20 to 21 percent lighter than lead.I could live with that myself but dang that is ruff on the pocket to fill the ole pots.
