Maribu and a couple of them have something flash. Not sure what it is called. I left them about 3". We fish alot of 3" plastics up here on Truman in the summer. Sometimes even tip with a minnow. That is whats cool about these jigs. You can always cut a little of the tail off if the bite is slow and think a smaller bait will help. I am going to tie a few with some smaller sickle hooks and make them about two inchs long. Already on the hunt for differant types of tail material. Would like to find something that will stay poffed out when wet. That way it will have a bigger profile.
