typing this with a red powder'd beard
Hi all. Been reading a while when I have some down time from work. My fishing time has been limited and I decided to doodle in tying some jigs that I use regularly as the money becomes available for materials and such. Also, maybe teach my son if he were to ever become interested. I decided to start ground up (skipping the lead pouring process) and try and build a fluid bed with the help of cadman's plans. I have a thing for the fancy painted heads I've seen. While I have a potential teacher whose work is amazing, he lives a ways and I don't always have the time to go learn.
Had some leakage problems @ first, but got them figured out. Now I'm having all out blow out problems...hence the red beard. So Im hoping maybe it's a minor glitch?
My volcano is mostly coming from the area where my valve is input. I've tried to dampen the pressure with the valve and stir and get spurts from the same spot. I'm using brown paper bags as filter media (just one side of the bag). I'm also using some powder I picked up from harbor freight, just for testing material.
If anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Otherwise I'm goin' back to the lighter and dip method...
ThX,
Adam
