Default Think it'll Pass for a Gill ??

Trying to make something that will look like a 3 inch bluegill. When I was out gill fishing last Tuesday I saw some fish picking them off.Maybe catfish, maybe some bass, but, they were big.I painted the head silver with a black spatter back, then gave it an orange throat and painted inside the mouth while I was at it.Tied some grey behind the collar with grey flashabou, then a black palmered collar and some orange marabou for the throat.Figured to just cast it out and let it fall all over in front of the tullies with my 12 lb. test rod, lol.

Dude! You didn't have anything in the boat you could've tied on for the big'uns?

If the jig doesn't work tie on a spinner bait or Rattle Trap! I like a Rattlinrap in Firetiger for a small 'Gill imitation, the Basses will kill them when they're feeding on small 'Gills. I caught a 4-15 "Spot" on one, and he was eatin' the baby 'Gills.
