Default ID jig mold and Q's

I have a 5/8 ounce bullet head jig mold. It is a C. Palmer, Bullet jig mold, 565 5/8 ounce. The odd thing is where there should be eye sockets it has depression instead. In other words it will have raised eye spots on both sides instead of recessed sockets.

Do I have a mold that has been modified or is this the origanl way it came? I have tired exhaustive searches to try and find out and I ain't searching no more.

I don't mind if they are not supposed to be raised, just want to know. The raised eyes will actually make it easy to PP them or do whtever I want to with them like rhinestones and other eye materials or those metal eyes someone posted a few days back.
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.

I'm not sure I've got several old Palmer molds and not all the eyes are raised eyes. My banana bucktail jig mold doesn't have eyes at all. Course it's got a broken handle cause some DUMMY dropped it while it was super hot but it still works.

If you get a chance can you post a picture of it

It does seem wierd that a raised eye mold wouldn't have the raised eye on the front of it but it wouldn't surprise me either if they didn't put it in the front with a raised eye.

They also are not perfectly aligned, subtle differences but not the quality control I would expect from a mold company. Might just be the way they did it in the old days but I have to question if this was done afterwards due to the differences.

I thought they might be had to know for sure. Doesn't matter much because they will be mainly for salt water use and salmon/steelhead.

I kinda like them, wil mean a little more work to paint the eyes but worth it. Will have to get some poured someday and experiment with them.
