If you are going to use mainly grubs get molds with a barbed collar, preferably a downbarbed collar which pushes the plastic down and creates more hook gap with plastics. You'll get more fish hookups. If you pour a lot of jigs during summer which in the past for me is a pain because of the humidity you get more shortfills, there is a product called Dropout which you spray your molds with. It cost me $9.40 at Zeiner's. Jigs are easier to remove from molds and no more shortfills, truly a great product. I wish I'd known about it five years ago when I started pouring my own. Zeiner's sells molds as well and have better pricing then most places. For jighooks buy 1000 cts. if possible and check with CRAZY ANGLER TACKLE. He's got great pricing on everything, including jig hooks.
