I think longer is more imortant than brighter in some situations. I trout fish at night here often and I have found that the longer I can get it to glow the more bites I get. In clear water a bright glow is not really needed. For day fishing in murky water the brighter the better I guess. Unfortunately the stuff I used to use didn't glow for more than 10 minutes, not visible to me anyway.

I tested those pellets again and I could see the glow without issue for over an hour on a charge from my 4 foot flourescent bulbs. I could even see some detail of the bathroom once my eyes adjusted. I will test other stuff tomorrow but I doubt I have anything that comes close except for my glow painted jig heads.
