I figured if I could'nt palmate a marabou jig the right way,I would do it my way, lol.New color combo also.I tied the Kelly Green marabou far back on the hook added some chartruse pearl flash, then wrapped chenille up to about a 1/4 inch of the head.I then tied pink marabou all the way around with what will be the new collar.I like it.Gives that palmated look. What do you think?
"Garden Hackler"lol
Wild to say the least, LOL! Anything goes and if the fish like it who cares what people think?
Good way to think outside the box. I am playing with Marabou as dubbing. I know this works and lots of other materials.
I will offer one suggestion to you though. With that green try some FL Yellow and it will blend and be like magic catching fish. Well actually I would start with a FL Red head and the green next and the FL Yellow at the tail tip. That would be like my Christmas jig and that combo has been catching fish in a lot of different water conditions for a lot of years. Personally I have fished it since the mid 1970's.
I like what your doing, just I would use different color combos, but then again that is me and you should do what ever make you happy and the fish like.
