Just thought I would ask here to see what you guys think. I didn't tie this, but did just learn how and soon should be good enough at this to repeat this kind of jig. This one came from someone that knows all about this dubbing jigs and flies. Anyway look at this beauty of a jig...Still drooling here!

So tell me what you think of his work as I plan on doing some of this kind of work.

Kinda has that "backlash" look to it. LOL I've never seen anything like it. I'm sure it takes more skill than I have to tie one though.

This was tied by a really good tyer and the reason I have it is a guy that has been tying for like 58 years and lots of that as a commercial fly tyer told me about this new way to dub and thought I should buy the DVD so I did.

Gonna be doing this, well now doing in practice mode. Can do this with most any material. You could do it, but it cost almost $50 for the DVD, LOL!

Really like those colors but sorta undecided on the jig itself. Mostly because I have never fished for crappie with a buggy lookin bait. What material is in that?

He said it is Polar Ice Jig, but when I look for something called Polar Ice, I see Polar Dub and I see Ice Dub, so I don't know if it's both or neither.

Go for it Skip. Have fun. Good looking jig. It will be interesting to see what the crappies say. Let us know.
