Well I tied 3 of them, one with the big rubber and 2 with the small rubber. The smaller ones are definitely much fuller and easier to work with but the big material takes less time to do. I don't know which of them I prefer but I think I will use them all. I did learn that it is easier to tie them backward as with the eye of the jig in the vise but that might just be me and the way I tie.
My first ties

Fly for comparison

I think I might have gotten more in mine that there is in the fly. Need to add some feather fibers and other stuff to it make it buggier.

I haven't trimmed them yet. They do need it for sure.

I though it would be harder but I got more in there than I thought and it wasn't too bad. Maybe some peacock herl, tinsel and other stuff mixed in would fill them out more. Some dubbing or peacock behind the jig head will fill in better than trying to tie them tight up to the head.

Open to suggestions, I know they aren't my best work but they will improve as I tie more. Will post trimmed pictures soon.
