My First Bought Feathers

I'm not a "tight wad" lol.Just did'nt know how to tie a feather.One day of asking questions here solved that though.The only thing I have left to do is learn how to whip finish,Ha.And keep buying stuff to force me to use it.

If you can have someone show you that's the best way. It's so easy once you figure it out. I struggled for years trying to figure it out and one day I just did it, and poof, been doing it ever since. Can't imagine using half hitches anymore.

Try youtube and see if it helps. Also there's several styles of whip finishers, the wire ones suck.

Yea,I'm the half hitch champion now,lol.It all started out with me buying the wrong tool,then that just irked me something terrible,lol.

Good looking jigs. Nice colors on all of em. I got a lot of feathers but I use hair on most of the jigs I tie. Good work with the jigs.

half hitch is what i use....myself i like it. then put a dot of glue and its held in place for the duration of the jigs life...

I use a Matarelli whip finisher and don't know how to half hitch. Never tried either. Jigs look good, good balance and size. Now that you've been playing with the big stuff, pull out 1/64 and do some of those. I think my bald spot is bigger cuz of the changes like that.

Here are the 1/64 oz. guys Skeet,lol.They are pretty small compared to the 3/4 oz. guys.

Nice jigs and Skeet has the right one (Matarelli-style) and the other kind Thompson is pretty much for flies and harder to use.
