    Default 2 tying question

First, I have some chenille that came on cardboard cards that has pancaked it. Is there an easy way to bring it back to life? Second, what do you guys use in the tying vise jaws to prevent taking the red coating off these red hooks? I tried fabric softner paper and it seemed to work ok, just looking for something more permanent. Thanks for any help. NP64

For the flattened chenille I use a regular household steam iron to bring the chenille back to life!!

1.)Cut the length you want and place it on a smooth surface so the chenille can move.

2.) Hold the steam iron a few inches above the chenille and go back and forth to revive the chenille. You will notice the chenille roll and twist. Do this just a few seconds because the steam will actually cause the chenille to unravel causing lost fibers!!!

Yes all you need to is pull it across steam and even a pot of water will do. Oh don't over do it or it will ruin it.
