    Default Wabbits and Punkies

These are the wabbit jigs. Variety of head styles. Starting to prefer rabbit over all other materials for tails.

These are " punkies " short for punkinseed shape of head. Started using longer shank jig hook. Gives me more room for material and looks better proportioned. To me anyway.

been busy converting boat to stick steering. Took a break for awhile because awaiting on materials for conversion. Plus going night fishing Sunday night. Fishing and watching fireworks what a night huh ?

They look good!!!!!!!!!!!!! After seeing the second jig head shape with a larger hook I like them better, as you say more room to tie but it just really looks better to me.

    Keep em coming

Very nice looking jigs and they should get a lot of bites.

Looks good, I do like rabbit too but I rarely use it. I would love to get some gray barred bunny though.

Very nice! I too am a fan of rabbit for tailing on smaller jigs. One of the best things I've found is at Cabela's. Go in the fly tying area and pick out a "rabbit grab bag" or two. It's about a quart size bag full of the scrap from when they cut zonkers. Primo fur, cool color combos, about a dozen pieces up to about a 1/4 skin for like 4 bucks. It's the best bang for your buck for rabbit that I've found!
