If you're using sickle hooks, I heard the black nickel won't rust.

I just put the moisture preventer thingamabob in my rx bottles in the tackle box. No rust here. I do not recommend painting the entire hook. Go Browns!

I always had a small box with holes in it and I'd put my wet baits inside and when dry I'd put away. Only had a few rust that was my fault for sticking in my shirt pocket and they didn't dry well.

When I take a jig off my line I throw it in one of a couple places in my boat and I don't pick them up until they are dry. I Never put anything wet in any box I have and I don't have rust problems even on hooks I have had for many years.

Bronze hooks are the first to rust,so I rarely use them. I throw wet jigs into the bottom of the tackle bag. By the time I clean the bag out, usually days later they are fine. Black nickle hooks won't rust and are used most of the time.
