    NYLON CHENILLES
This, the nylon is worth paying a little extra for, too. So much better than rayon.

You could try looking for Lion Brand Lion Suede (ebony color) at local fabric stores. A skein contains 122 yds. of machine washable (durable) chenille. It might be all of the black chenille that you'll ever need.

I've purchased several skeins of this yarn at an Indianapolis area Big Lots store for $1.50/skein. So, if there's one near you, check them out.

The yarn itself is rated as a #5 (bulky). Though I've found it adequate to use with 1/16-oz. minnow head jigs having #4 hooks.

The jig at the bottom-left is an example of one of my minnow head jigs tied with ebony #5 Lion Suede.
