I've been reading about rattles inside some Bandit crankbaits and know the LM Trash fishermen are addicted to rattles. What would you think of tucking a glass tube rattle under the chinell wrap? Jigging that baby among some sunken timber or pvc condo....WHOOO!!

If you don't mind the added bulk or losing some, go for it! Can't say I've needed them but I've never tried it either.
Good idea. See if you can find the skinny stainless ones for less bulk. Probably a different sound than glass or plastic too.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
what about the ones that clip on to the hook. are they small enough???
I tried them many years ago when I first started tying and they are indeed bulky but I caught fish with them.At about 30 cents each then and the way I lose jigs I didn't make many. The thinner stainless ones skeet talked about would probably work better than the bulkier glass ones I used.
I read a article in FLY Tier about using rattles on a Bass fly using rabbit. I had some worm rattles and used the fly pattern on a jig head with rabbit and it worked great. I have not tried anything smaller than a 1/16 head and not with chenille but you can't tell the rattle is there with the crosscut rabbit so it should work with chenille. Think I will try some in the morning
