    Default trolling jig

something to run behind a crank for those timid crappie that take a swipe but don't want the big bait. 1/32 long shanked size 6, soldered spoon, clear coat with sparkle and some color for the head. Hope to try them out this evening.

I can almost guarantee those will catch slabbers. I have thought about soldering a sppon blade to my jigs also. Have yet do it so let us know how they worked for you.

they worked ok, they out produced the cranks completely. I might need to upgrade the size some only one good fish on a trail jig and it was on a maribou jig. Had six shorts on the mini spoon.

several times out only shorts caught. I am sure it will change as the year gets along but had to make some larger baits just in case.

put some orings on them, they will handle better and keep you line from breaking on the small straight edges on the spoon

I have the eye of the hook centered on the hole will give them a try. Since they are trollers and might catch double digit weighted fish I would not trust a soldered hook to hold.
