    Default Hook Size

I just ordered a Do-it Minnow Head Jig JME-8-1632A with 4 1/16oz and 4 1/32oz cavities. I want to use the red sickle hooks. What size would be best and does anyone have a suggestion on the best place to buy them? Thanks in advance.

Do you think I could make the 2's work in both sizes? I like as big a hook as I can get.

Probably too big for the 1/32,but a 4 would probably work.Might be tight.I can use the big hooks as I like them better too.Sometimes maybe not with all the cavities at one time though.

Try Crazy Angler Your here look no more Robert could fix you right up with all the hooks you can use and if want to go with bigger hook sizes give him a call he is the man with the master plan when it comes to molds. He could probably modify your mold so the number 2 sickle will fix right in. You would have to give him a call to find out for sure but I can say his molds are probably the best in the market for custom made.

Anywhere else is just a waste of time..... IMO

I'd use #4 and I get mine from Crazy Angler too. Unless you just want a big hook, I dont think you will have any problems at all with the 4's. And unless you really like the 1/32 size, you might talk to Robert about modifing the the mold to change the 1/32 to 1/24.

#4 in the 1/16th and #6 in the 1/32nd are normal. I've used #2s in the 1/16th and #4s in the 1/32nd and they work fine, just don't look quiet right when tying on them cause of the proportions. I like a bigger hook too.

I have the mold you can use 2 -6 in the mold. I use the mold two ways some with collars for plastics but I also cut off the collar on some of them for tying.
