There use to be a jig that I used for bream fishing when I was a kid. I want to say it was called a tater bug. I am not exactly sure if that was its real name or if that is just what we called them. Anyway, I have not seen one in years and heard a few years ago that they had stopped making them several years ago. The bait was simply just a little piece of metal shaped like a beetle shell sort of speek that was sautered to a very small hook and then it was painted like a lady bug and had some tough hair like material that was stiffer than normal hair that came out the back of it. I was wondering if any of you know the bait I am talking about and also thought I would see if some of you would piddle with the idea to see if you can come up with something similar. I would like to see some versions of it made if any of you are interested in trying to make one. I attached a drawing of what I kind of remember it looking like. It is not the best drawing but the best I could do.
