Have had a ball
tying up these small jigs, all 1/32 on a size 6 to 1/80th and size 10. Trying to come up with some buggy patterns to catch gills. Will need to tie a bunch since Father's Day is coming soon and they make a nice gift to fishing friends also. took a break last night and tied up some crappie jigs that were 1/16th size. Felt like I was working with a 3oz jig and 6/o hook after working on the small jigs. I think I like tying up these small bug looking jigs as much as trying to get a shad look on a large size.

Well I know what you mean, but try some really small flies. Some of them guys tie stuff like #28 or maybe #22, but regular many times is a #14, #16 and that stuff will make you blind. I don't tie much smaller than a #10 or #12, but some of them have short shank and makes them even smaller length wise. I do have some #16 and look like I could catch minnows on them, LOL. I just can't even think about the smaller than a #16, but lots of flies are tied on really tiny hooks and are regular stock down to an 18 with some going to 22 and a few going to a 24 or 26, but you have to look for the size #28-#32 and no I don't have any like that, LOL!

You're jigs look good!!!!!! Yeah anytime you go up in hook size it seems like you have so much more space.
Skip is right that size 6 jig hook is HUGH!!!!!!! compared to a size 20 or smaller fly hook. I've tied on a 20 a few times but have friends that tie fancy dry flies on 32's. ME, I can't even see the darn things LOL
