First Ty Picture

I can tell by the first Ty that I am hooked did get hooked a few times If my fingers where 1/2 the size they are it would be a lot easier.
I used

1/16 lightwire jig / chart head
tail- silicone skirt, chart/silv flk
wing- pink bucktail
neck- black bucktail

Good lookin tie! Colors are great, head and eye are good. Body maybe a little bulky, I'd trim it down a bit. Over all very good tie for the first one!!
I know what you're talking about when you say if your fingers were 1/2
as big!!! I've got big paws also, but I've tied 1/100 oz jig and you can too.

hold on to your 1st tie put it up and about 6 mths down the road pull it and compare it to a recent tie....will be surprised.....keep it up looks perty good

Lot to learn on the first jig :D but I did enjoy trying to figure it all out. I plan on keeping this one around to look at later. I know there will be a big difference after much more working and learning.

Good work, Stump. If it were mine, and I were to trim it, I would make it flatsided. Good color choices, and I bet it will catch fish.

that is a nice-looking jig I especially liked the color combination. have you had a chance to try it out yet and I'm sure that it will catch plenty of fish keep up the good work.

As long as you like being challenged and keep trying you will end up who knows where. Maybe you will start fly fishing and tying flies. Main thing is to enjoy it. No matter what else, if it catch's some fish then all is good. Then you may really have a problem and if you do like I do which is find materials you have not tried or tied with and then start buying it to discover what it brings it's great!

I just tied it this morning and hope to try some next week.

Skip, I use to fly fish but it's been around 10 years since I used my fly rod. Going to pull it out and see if I can still use it. Y'all make some great looking flies and I have a lot to learn from all of you guys.

I've been looking back and forth to that jig.Seems that Skeet had a very good idea and to just trim the sides down and leave the top and bottom alone.Give it like a gill profile,here we go again Skeet,new idea,lol.I can see you'll be having fun for awhile.Nice tye.
